Ivo Martinich

Biography

Ivo Martinich practises in the areas of commercial litigation and workplace law. Ivo has represented clients before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Provincial Court, and several administrative tribunals. 

Ivo holds a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law, also at UBC. During his legal studies, Ivo spent two terms as an exchange student, one at McGill University and one at Sciences Po in Paris. While in law school, Ivo received the David Roberts Prize in Legal Writing, as well as the Best Jury Address award in the Peter Burns Moot. He was also a finalist at the Guile Debate, a competition that emphasizes humour and oral advocacy. 

Before joining Mitha Law Group, Ivo articled and worked as an associate in the Commercial Litigation group of a national firm in Vancouver. He also worked as in-house litigation counsel for a Crown Corporation.

Ivo is fluent in Spanish and French.
